Current Kentucky Derby Graded Stakes earnings for 2012. The Kentucky Derby Prep races are coming to an end and the Kentucky Derby is just 27 days away at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

Graded Stakes earnings are used to determine the eligibility of a horse to make it into the starting gate in conjunction with their prepaid entry fee for the Triple Crown Nominations.

Yesterday was the Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct with Gemologist claiming the victory over Alpha. In California, the Santa Anita Derby saw I’ll Have Another take the win and put himself in the starting gate for the first Saturday in May.

Every week I will be updating the Kentucky Derby Contenders ranked by Graded Stakes earnings for 2012 list so check back every weekend as we make yet another “Run for the Roses”.
