NEW YORK (AP) -Le Grand Cru beat Ready's Echo by 1 1/2 lengths Sunday in the $225,000 Kelso Handicap reduced to only three runners at Belmont Park.

The heavy rain that hit Belmont on Saturday had a spillover affect on Sunday's card. The five races scheduled for the turf, including all three stakes, were shifted to the main track. The resulting scratches reduced the Kelso and the $141,000 Miss Grillo Stakes to three-horse fields while five contested the $154,500 Pilgrim Stakes.

Le Grand Cru paid $4.50 to win, running the one mile in the mud in 1:37.36 with Jose Lezcano aboard for trainer Allen Jerkens.

Trainer Todd Pletcher won both 2-year-old stakes

Dad's Crazy drew off to a 3 1/4-length win over Tapitsfly in the Miss Grillo for fillies. The longest shot in the race at 4-1, Dad's Crazy covered the one mile in 1:40.04 with Julien Leparoux aboard.

Eskendereya romped by 7 1/4 lengths over Western Flyer in the Pilgrim for 2-year-olds, paying $7.20 to win. Javier Castellano rode as the colt got the mile in 1:37.85.
