NEW YORK (AP) -Understatement rolled to a 3 3/4-length win over National Pride on Sunday in the $65,000 Stymie Stakes at Aqueduct.

The Stymie was rescheduled when a snow storm wiped out the Feb. 27 card. The additional time was a boon to trainer Todd Pletcher, who entered a trio in the postponed stakes: Understatement, third-place finisher Nite Light and Atoned, who ran sixth. They raced as separate betting interests.

Understatement, the 6-5 favorite, loves Aqueduct's winterized inner track where he improved to 4 for 4. The 5-year-old ridden by David Cohen is 1 for 11 on other surfaces. The time was 1:50.63 for the 1 1-8 miles on the fast track.

Understatement paid $4.70, $2.90 and $2.50. National Pride returned $6.30 and $5.10. Nite Light paid $2.80 to show.
