Quiet Favorite wins Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) – Quiet Favorite beat American Buffalo by three quarters of a length on Wednesday in the $55,860 allowance feature at Aqueduct for 3-year-olds bred in New York.

Apprentice jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. was aboard for trainer Leah Gyarmati as the 7-1 shot won for the second time in seven races. The time was 1:39.81 for the mile on the fast track.

Quiet Favorite paid $17.60, $7.60 and $4.70. American Buffalo returned $4.80 and $3.70 while Thor’s Mjolnor paid $4 to show.
