Watsdachances wins P.G. Johnson at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) – Watsdachances survived a four-horse battle in the final sixteenth-mile and won by a neck Wednesday in the $100,000 P.G. Johnson Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Saratoga Race Course.

The Irish-bred filly, ridden by Javier Castellano and making her first start in the United States for trainer Chad Brown, ran 1 1/16 miles over the inner turf course in 1:42.90 for her second win in three career starts. She earned $60,000 for her owners, Michael Kisbar and Bradley Thoroughbreds.

Watsdachances paid $9.50, $5.60 and $4.80. Broken Spell returned $10 and $5.70, and Tara From the Cape paid $4.40 to show.
