Wildcat Creek wins Monmouth Park feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) – Wildcat Creek overtook Harbor Breeze in the closing strides to win by a neck in the $42,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Sunday.

Trained by Eddie Plesa Jr. and ridden by Angel Serpa, the 3-year-old colt covered six furlongs over a fast track in 1:10 and returned $9.40, $4.40 and $3. The win was the first in five starts this year for Wildcat Creek.

Harbor Breeze paid $3.80 and $3.20, while Coaltown Legend was another four lengths back in third and returned $4.
