Winter Memories wins Diana Stakes

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) – Winter Memories beat Dream Peace by 1 1/2 lengths Saturday in the $600,000 Grade 1 Diana Stakes for fillies and mares Saturday at Saratoga Race Course.

Ridden by Javier Castellano, the gray 4-year-old ran 1 1/8 miles over the inner turf course in 1:48.50 and earned $360,000 for the Phillips Racing Partnership.

Winter Memories paid $5.50, $3.40 and $2.60 for her eighth victory in 12 career starts and topped $1.2 million in earnings. Dream Peace returned $6.40 and $3.70, and Zagora paid $3.00 to show.
