Blended Citizen: 5/26 – The multiple graded stakes champ fired the four-furlong bullet with a :47.55 (1/35) breeze over Belmont Park’s fast track in advance of a planned return in the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes there on June 9. 

Gronkowski: 5/26 – The multiple winner on synthetic surfaces in Europe had his first workout since joining Chad Brown’s barn, a four-furlong breeze in :47.99 (3/35) on fast dirt at Belmont Park.

Hofburg: 5/25 – Juddmonte Farms’ homebred continued preparations for the Belmont Stakes by breezing six furlongs over Saratago’s fast training course in 1:13.43 (1/1).

Noble Indy: 5/25 – The Grade 2 Lousiana Derby hero breezed four furlongs in :47.04 (1/36) on a fast Belmont Park oval to prepare for a possible start in the final leg of the Triple Crown.

Restoring Hope: 5/22 – Bob Baffert’s trainee tuned up for a potential run in the Belmont Stakes with a five-furlong breeze over Churchill Downs’ fast surface in 1:00.00 (1/19).

Vino Rosso: 5/25 – The son of two-time Horse of the Year Curlin worked towards a start in the Belmont Stakes by breezing four furlongs in :47.04 (1/36) on Belmont Park’s fast main track.

Belmont Stakes Workout Report: May 21, 2018

Combatant: 5/20 – The multiple graded stakes-placed colt, who finished 18th in the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby, returned to the work tab with a five-furlong breeze in 1:01.60 (15/23) on Churchill Downs’ fast main track. 

Free Drop Billy: 5/21 – The Dale Romans trainee had his first work since running 16th in the Kentucky Derby, a four-furlong breeze over fast dirt at Churchill Downs in :47.60 (1/51).

Funny Duck:
5/19 – The surprise winner of the Grade 3 Pat Day Mile Stakes on the Kentucky Derby undercard breezed four furlongs in :47.80 (4/76) on a fast Churchill Downs oval. 

Givemeaminit: 5/18 – The Pat Day Mile show finisher prepared for a return in Belmont Park’s June 9 Grade 2 Woody Stephens Stakes by breezing four furlongs over Churchill Downs’ fast course in :48.80 (19/49). 

Hofburg: 5/18 – Conditioner Bill Mott’s Kentucky Derby seventh-place finisher breezed four furlongs in :49.32 (6/50) on a fast Saratoga surface in advance of an expected next start in the final leg of the Triple Crown.

Silent Sting: 5/21 – Stronach Stables’ multiple stakes winner, who is a leading contender for Canada’s Queen’s Plate on June 30 at Woodbine, breezed five furlongs over that fast fast all weather track in :59.40 (1/12).
