Bolt d’Oro: 4/22 – With his Kentucky Derby jockey, Victor Espinoza, in the irons, the multiple graded stakes winner worked seven furlongs handily in 1:24.20 (1/3) on Santa Anita’s fast main track. 

Enticed: 4/19 – The Godolphin homebred breezed five furlings over fast dirt at the Palm Meadows Training Center in 1:01.20 (2/7).

Flameaway: 4/21 – The Mark Casse trainee had his first breeze since finishing second in the Grade 2 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, a five-furlong move in 1:00.40 (12/52) on a fast Churchill Downs oval. 

Free Drop Billy: 4/21 – The Union Rags colt earned the five-furlong bullet by breezing over a fast surface at Churchill Downs in :59.00 (1/52). 

Good Magic: 4/21 – The Champion Two-Year-Old Colt breezed four furlongs in :48.00 (8/77) on Keeneland’s fast course one day before shipping to Churchill Downs.

Justify: 4/21 – Conditioner Bob Baffert’s unbeaten son of Scat Daddy worked six furlongs handily over a fast Santa Anita track in 1:13.20  (4/16) with stablemate Zipman .

Kentucky Derby Workout Report: April 17, 2018

Audible: 4/13 – In his first work since capturing Gulfstream Park’s Grade 1 Florida Derby, the Todd Pletcher trainee breezed four furlongs in :48.75 ( 1/26) in company with graded stakes-placed You’re To Blame on a fast track at Palm Beach Downs.

Bravazo: 4/13 – The Calumet Farms homebred, who secured a spot in the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby by winning the Grade 2 Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds in February, breezed five furlongs over Churchill Downs’ fast surface in 1:01.20 (9/23). 

Lone Sailor: 4/11 – The Grade 2 Louisiana Derby runner-up began Kentucky Derby preparations with a four-furlong breeze in :47.80 (6/29) on a fast course at Churchill Downs for conditioner Tom Amoss.

Hofburg: 4/15The Florida Derby runner-up breezed four furlongs in company with multiple graded stakes winner Good Samaritan over fast dirt at the Payson Park Training Center in :49.00 (2/11). 

Instilled Regard: 4/15 – Fair Grounds’ Grade 3 Lecomte Stakes champ, who finished the prep season with 29 Kentucky Derby qualifying points, worked four furlongs handily in :51.40 (65/70) on a fast Santa Anita oval. 

Promises Fulfilled: 4/14 – Trainer Dale Romans’ Grade 2 Fountain of Youth Stakes victor breezed four furlongs over Churchill Downs’ fast main track in :49.00 (13/36).

Kentucky Derby Workout Report: April 11, 2018

Greyvitos: 4/7 – The Virginia-bred son of Malibu Moon, who underwent surgery to remove bone chips from his knee after winning the Remington Springboard Mile Stakes last December, worked five furlongs handily from the gate over Santa Anita’s fast main track in 1:00.20 (2/39) to prepare for his seasonal debut in Keeneland’s Grade 3 Lexington Stakes. 

Mask: 4/7 – Trainer Chad Brown’s unbeaten Gulfstream Park stakes winner continued working towards an expected return in Churchill Downs’ Grade 3 Pat Day Mile on the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby undercard with a four-furlong breeze in :48.65 (4/46) on a fast oval at Palm Meadows Training Center. 

Noble Indy: 4/6 – The Grade 2 Louisiana Derby hero, currently third on the Kentucky Derby leaderboad with 110 qualifying points, breezed four furlongs over Palm Beach Downs’ fast course in :50.20 (6/20) for the Todd Pletcher barn.

Quip: 4/6 – The Grade 2 Tampa Bay Derby victor, who bypassed a planned start in Keeneland’s Grade 2 Blue Grass Stakes, breezed four furlongs on that “fast” surface in :48.60 (22/82) in preparation for the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park.

Runaway Ghost: 4/6 – Owner/breeder Joe Peacock’s Grade 3 Sunland Derby champ began training for the Kentucky Derby by working five furlongs handily in 1:03.40 (4/6) over a fast track at his Sunland Park home base.

Title Ready: 4/9 – Conditioner Steve Asmussen’s charge, who will try to earn a chance to run for the roses in the Arkansas Derby, breezed four furlongs on the fast Oaklawn Park dirt in :50.80 (28/39).
