Betting on New York-based horses in the nine Breeders’ Cups at Santa Anita has been costly, especially on the main track. Only 15 winners, including five short-priced superstars: Manila, Lady’s Secret, Lure, Royal Delta and Lady Eli). Nine winners were on turf, and Chad Brown trained six of them.
